Our team faced difficulties in organizing a broad apparel catalog with variants, trending collections, and dynamic merchandising to improve discoverability. We had to add high-quality visuals without hampering Core Web Vitals. The client wanted support for dynamic promotions and discounting, including seasonal sales codes and free shipping thresholds.
Additionally, several third-party tools for marketing automation, email/SMS campaigns, analytics, and order tracking are available without adding frontend latency. The engagement also needed to be boosted with community features like a brand ambassador program and newsletter sign-ups, while ensuring they integrate with Shopify.
Solutions
To address these challenges, we built a high-performance Shopify store that keeps shopping fast and smooth, even with lots of features and eye-catching visuals. The site balances speed, rich content, and easy management. Our team:
- Organized products using Shopify Metafields and Smart Collections, making it easy to sort by category, trends, seasons, or size and fit options.
- Added AJAX filtering and navigation, allowing shoppers to browse and discover products quickly without waiting for a full page reload.
- Used responsive images that automatically adjust for different screens, keeping the site looking great and loading fast everywhere.
- Enabled lazy loading for images and content below the fold, so pages open quickly and only load what users need as they scroll.
