Infinity Jewelry is family-owned and started in honor of a mother and father (the interlocking diamonds in the logo are a nod to that). It runs five stores now, across cruise ports in Alaska, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean, selling duty-free diamonds, gemstone and gold jewelry, and watches.
The online store carries that same range: $99 gold-plated studs on one end, diamond hoops close to $9,000 on the other. Those are two different shoppers, and the site had to treat them differently without someone reviewing every order by hand. BrainSpate’s Shopify Plus development built the environment around checkout customization, order automation, accurate inventory across locations, and strong storefront performance during peak season.
Online sales were growing alongside five physical stores, and the existing setup was starting to strain. Inventory sat in too many places at once: five stores plus the website meant a piece could show as available online after it had already been sold in-store.
Checkout was another issue. A $99 pair of studs and a $9,000 pair of diamond hoops went through the same flow, with the same shipping and payment options, and high-value orders needed a manual check in inboxes and spreadsheets before anything shipped.
Pre-orders added more manual work. Sold-out pieces went on pre-order, and tracking them took constant follow-up, while ring sizes and gift notes were often sorted out over email after the order had already been placed.
Traffic was also tied to the cruise calendar, with ships docking and the site going from busy to quiet in the same day, so performance needed to hold up during peak periods. The goal was a store that could handle high-value orders with care and reduce manual work, without changing what customers already liked about buying from Infinity through Jewelry eCommerce development.
BrainSpate developed the Shopify Plus setup around how Infinity actually sells: high-ticket, gift-heavy, and seasonal.
